The Sandeman Cup by Hogarth and Erichsen in Gold and Silver

Now in the National Gallery Canberra.

Purchased with the Houstone Collection by Ron Radford an outstanding Director of the Gallery.

It is the earliest and coincidentally one of the finest Australian Emu eggs, still with its original travelling case, it was made in Sydney in 1855.

Illustrated on the cover of the Houstone Collection book, to which I was honoured to write the introduction.
