I, in part inherited a collection of dress watches made in the 1920’s and 30’s from my grandfather along with his white tie and tails. The dress watch was the evening wear, wafer thin, watch worn in the starched white waistcoat of fashionable men, such as the Prince of Wales when out on the town.
