Purchased from David Lavender for £12,500 after Exhibition at the MMA in New York.
Sold as part of my foundation sale to H. E. Mahdi al Tajir in 1977, this sale contained all the outstanding English and French neo classical silver in the London trade for £510,000 plus 10%.
This suite, probably the finest surviving example of English neo classical silver was repurchased from Koopman after the Christies sale, 15 June 2004, where it re sold for £391,650 and sold to a client in the Far East.
